James Troupe, also called    “Rat,” was born September 30, 1957, in Newark, New Jersey, to Bessie Troupe (now deceased). He was called home to be with the Lord on July 20, 2022.

James graduated from Wheeler County High School in 1977. He worked for over 20 years at the Hazlehurst Sawmill.

James was friendly and had a passion for collecting “stuff.” He loved riding motorcycles and spending time with his family and friends. He had a beloved dog named Zoe.

James is survived by his brother, William Troupe; sister-in-law, Carolyn Troupe; nieces, Mechelle Troupe-Roberson and Stephanie Troupe; nephews, Darren Troupe and Tony Troupe; niece-in-law, Chandra; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

His funeral was held on July 23, 2022, at King Brothers Funeral Home in Hazlehurst, Georgia. Interment was private.

The service was entrusted to King Brothers Funeral Home of Hazlehurst, Georgia.
