Ernestine “Tine” Mills, age 75, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022.  The native of Okeechobee, Florida, lived most of her life in Florida before moving to Georgia in 2008.  She was a homemaker and was devoted to her family.  Of all the joy in her life, spending time with her grandkids was the greatest blessing.  In her free time, she loved to travel.  Even though she kept an active life, she always was devoted to her Lord and served him faithfully at Cedar Crossing Baptist Church.  She was an active member of her church group, the “Dixie Dumplings.”  A vibrant and loving person, she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George Mills and Betty Inez Altman Mills; and a sister, Cheryl Woodson.

Left to cherish memories of a life well lived are her three children: Juanita (David) Parham of North Carolina, Tina (Billy) Williams of Bellville, and Bill (Georgia) Kirkland of Florida; four siblings:  Marge Chandler, Marty Mills, Buddy (Jess) Mills, and Kent (Sharon) Mills, all of Florida; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Graveside funeral services were held on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at 10 a.m., at Basinger Cemetery in Okeechobee, Florida.

Low Country Cremation & Burial served the Mills family.
