Jayna Jones of Collins won the title of 2022 Miss Tattnall County High School (TCHS) on March 5, 2022, in an evening of pageantry held at the TCHS Cafetorium.
Jones was crowned by the 2021 Miss TCHS ZaRiah Anderson. Jones is the 17-year-old daughter of Jared and Lisa White and the late Roy Jones.
Jones is a junior at TCHS and is honored to have the opportunity to represent her school, community, and God most of all during her reign. This was her first time participating in a pageant, and she and her supporters were overwhelmed with excitement.
“It is amazing to have friends and family that support me… they are always there for me,” Jones said. “This is just unreal.”
Her court included 1st runner-up and interview award winner Abbey Hutcheson, a senior and the 18-year-old daughter of Wes and Angela Hutcheson of Lyons; 2nd runner-up, Miss Photogenic, and Miss Congeniality Jai Blocker, a senior and the 18-year-old daughter of Joseph and Nieves Blocker of Glennville; 3rd runner-up Natalie Rucker, a junior and the 16-year-old daughter of Chris and Leah Ricker of Claxton; and 4th runner-up Layla James, a sophomore and 15-year-old daughter of Heath James and Kelly and Michael Anderson of Cobbtown.
