The Tattnall County School District chose Abby Foster as the recipient of the 2022 First District Regional Educational Service Agency (RESA) Teacher Appreciation Week First-Year Teacher Honoree award.

Foster is a first-grade teacher at Reidsville Elementary School (RES). She received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Western Governors University in 14 months, graduating at 19 years old.  She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Reading and Literacy from Walden University.

“I went into this profession because I wanted to make a difference in students’ lives. I love seeing students grow academically and personally. I cherish the relationships I have with my students, and my number one goal is to make them feel loved,” Foster said. “I was honored to receive the award from RESA. I am very appreciative to have been nominated by the district.”

She is the 20-year-old daughter of Marc and Christie Foster.
