Marcus H. Nobles III has announced his intention to seek re-election to the position of Glennville City Councilman for Ward 2. He was elected to the position on May 24, 2022, filling the unexpired term of his late brother-in-law, Councilman Dennis H. Strickland.
Marc and his wife, Susan Strickland Nobles, have one son, Nicolas Nobles. Marc also has three stepchildren: Will Tatum, Elizabeth Tatum, and Stephanie Tatum Largent. Marc operates a local advertising business known as Nobles Outdoor Advertising. He also owns Buck’s Barbershop and several rental properties.
Nobles is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He is currently a member of the Glennville Downtown Development Authority and the Glennville Rotary Club. He has served for many years as Chairman of the Tattnall County Republican Party. He and his family are active members of First Baptist Church of Glennville.
His formal announcement will follow after qualifying.
