Long County Chamber Junior Board invites businesses to host meetings
Long County Chamber Junior Board invites businesses to host meetings {

Amy Swindell is the high school sponsor for the Long County Chamber Junior Chamber Board.  The Junior Chamber Board is made up of 14 high school seniors who applied, were interviewed, and were selected to serve on the Junior Chamber Board.  This board works alongside the Long County Chamber of Commerce to help host various events in the community.  Members earn points for attending and helping with these events.  The top five-point earners will receive scholarships from the Chamber at the end of the school year.

The goal is for these students to learn about the business world and gain leadership skills they can use after graduation.

Each month, a Junior Chamber Board meeting is held on the third Wednesday after school at 2:15 p.m.  Businesses are invited to host one of these meetings and share with the Junior Chamber Board about the business and provide any advice/information that would be important as these young adults begin to plan their future.   Businesses are also asked to provide a light snack with a drink for the meeting as well.

“The Long County Junior Chamber has a wonderful group of students this year, and I am excited to watch them grow.  If you would like to sponsor a meeting, please complete the form” at the web site below, said Amy Swindell.
