On Friday, November 11, 2022, Tattnall County veterans are invited to join a processional recognizing and honoring their service and sacrifice to our country. The Veterans Processional will travel from the south end of the county and end in Reidsville.
Veterans are asked to meet at the Glennville National Guard Armory at 8:15 a.m. on Friday, November 11. The processional will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a Tattnall County Sheriff’s Office escort leading the group through South Tattnall Middle School, proceeding west down Barnard Street to Highway 301, then turning north and traveling to Hencart Road. The processional will enter South Tattnall Elementary School from Hencart and then re-enter Highway 23/57 at Glennville United Pentecostal Church. It will then head north to Tattnall County High School, and continue through Reidsville to North Tattnall Elementary. From there, it will travel back into Reidsville, looping behind the Tattnall County Board of Education at North Tattnall Middle School in Reidsville.
Faculty, staff, and students will line the processional routes near the schools to greet and honor the veterans of our community. Citizens and business owners of Tattnall County are encouraged to line the Barnard Street sidewalks in Glennville and the downtown Reidsville sidewalks in support and recognition of our veterans.
