Glennville's annual Celebration of the Christmas Season will be held in downtown Glennville, from Hwy. 301 to Tillman Street, on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The parking spaces with be filled with vendors offering an array of delectable treats; funnel cakes; puffcorn; candy apples; shaved ice; nachos with cheese and chili; baked goods; mini pancake crepes; hot chocolate, coffee, and lemonade; hot dogs, sausage dogs, and chips; barbecue sandwiches; tamales; pepper jellies, pickles, and relishes; hairbows and tutus; bling jewelry; ornaments; clothing for children and adults, many with Christmas motifs; perfume and cologne; crocheted items; candles; tumblers; decorative flags; seasonal wreaths; ink and watercolor sketches of Glennville scenes; skincare and makeup products by Avon and Mary Kay; and much more!
Entertainment begins at 4:15 p.m. with several performers from the following day's Tattnall Productions Christmas Show: Emma Waters, Lamar Cook, and Andrea Levant; 4:30 p.m., Studio South Dance Academy dancers; 5:15 p.m., Golf Cart Parade; and 6 p.m., lighting of the Christmas tree in the Stage at Barnard area.
Around 3 p.m. on December 6, traffic will be blocked from Hwy. 301 to Tillman Street since vendors will be setting up their displays, and this area will continue to be blocked to through traffic until 8 p.m. to allow time for vendors to dismantle after the close of the Celebration at 7 p.m.
