On August 16, 2026, the Long County Sheriff's Office responded to the area of Post Oak Rd. and Futch Lane in reference to an armed robbery. It was discovered that a male had been robbed at gun point near his residence. The victim provided a detailed description of the two suspects who were seen by bystanders at a nearby gas station. Surveillance footage was obtained from the store by investigators.

With the help of the Tattnall County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division, the suspects were positively identified. Kareem Nails of Glennville was arrested on August 22, 2026, at a gas station (the same one the surveillance video was obtained) by deputies from the Long and Tattnall County Sheriff’s Office.

Nails was found to be in possession of the same gun used in the robbery.

On August 26, 2026, Christopher Fate was arrested at his residence in Tattnall County without incident.

Both suspects are currently held in jail with no bond.
