Carol Ann Vadala, 82, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2022, at her residence. She was born February 23, 1940, in Mt. Carmel, Pennsylvania, to Charles Wayne and Anna Catherine Chapman Erney, and she moved to Glennville in 1970. Carol was employed with Glennville Alert, and she was a homemaker. She was a fantastic cook, and she loved to crochet, put together puzzles, and play word games. Carol was loving with a spunky personality and loved to spend time with her family and play with her great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Wayne Erney; and husband, Lou Vadala.

She is survived by children, Valerie Vadala and Linda Bacon (Kerry), all of Glennville; and  Susan Nichols (Joe) of Wallingford, Connecticut; siblings: Jim Erney (Cathy) of Pennsylvania; Craig Erney (Jackie) of Warminster, Pennsylvania; and  Debra Erney (Karen Mansley) of Delaware, Pennsylvania; grandchildren: Anna Googe, Frank Vadala (Rachael), Michael Young (Jennifer), and Adam Young (Angie); great-grandchildren:  Payton, Hayden, Gabriella, Louis, Alaina, and Brittney; and several nieces and nephews.

Carol’s wishes were to have no services.
